Riffs&8o8's Most Anticipated Albums Of 2017

2016 was a huge year for music, for fans of all genres. The year was filled with tons of huge releases, band reunions and big surprise album releases. Drake dominated the mainstream world, and we got big releases from Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Metallica, J Cole, Rihanna, Avenged Sevenfold and countless others. Streaming numbers are through the roof and record sales are the highest they have been in almost a decade.

Now with the successful year in the books, 2017 looks to be just as big if not bigger stacked sky high with highly anticipated album releases. Riffs&8o8s has listed 25 of the most anticipated albums of 2017. As we cover so many genres this has been a very daunting task, this list is made up of primarily our fans taste, sales, and the impact these artist have in there respected genres.

25. Lil Wayne - "Tha Carter V" (Hip Hop) Due Date: Who The Fuck Knows
This is easily one of the most anticipated albums of the new decade, however the for past 3 years its been nothing but delays, legal wars and still no "Tha Carter V." However from the horses mouth himself Birdman stated the world would indeed hear the new project, but the release date is still up in the air at this point.

24. Ed Sheeran - Divde (Pop) Due Date: TBA
The 25 year old pop singer has delivered some of the biggest songs of the past 5 years, reeling in fans of genres. His next project Divide looks to bring the singer to even bigger heights.

23. Katy Perry - TBA (Pop) Due Date: TBA
Though no release date or single have been released, the singer has been spotted in the studio with various producers. So some new music should be dropping at some point this year.

22. Remy Ma & Fat Joe - Plata O Plomo (Hip Hop) Due Date: February 10th
Fresh off of having the biggest Hip Hop hit of the summer with "All The Way Up" the Big Pun protégés Fat Joe & Remy Ma look to delivery one of the biggest Hip Hop releases in 2017.

21. Palisades - Palisades (Rock) Due Date: January 20th
New Jersey rockers Palisades took much of 2016 off to focus on what will be the most important record of there career thus far. With two scorching hot singles all ready on there belt, this record looks to sure live up to its hype.

20. Gorillaz - TBA - (EDM) - Due Date: TBA
After going on hiatus for a few years, the group began working on a new project in 2015 due out at some point this year.

19. Bryson Tiller TBA (Future R&B)- Due Date: TBA
Bryson Tiller just had capped off the one of the biggest years for a R&B artist in recent years. Platinum album, sold out tours and records we'll be reflecting on for years to come. His next project is due at some point this year, and the whole world is waiting for it.

18. Lorde - TBA (Pop) - Due Date: TBA
After taking the past few years off, Lorde looks to finally deliver the follow up to her Mega successful Pure Heroine project.

17. 21 Savage TBA (Hip Hop) Due Date: TBA
21 Savage took the summer of 2016 by storm after releasing his infamous "Savage Mode" EP. With a high profile feature on Drake's "Sneakin" already under his belt, 2017 looks to be the year of the

16. Ice Nine Kills TBA (Metal/Hard Rock) Due Date: TBA
Warped Tour 2016 was stacked with high profile vets, however the show was stolen by none other than the Boston rockers Ice Nine Kills. This band continues to separate themselves from the rest of the pack with there signature Horror Metal style. The band will head into the studio later this year to record the follow up to "Every Trick In The Book."

15.Meek Mill: TBA (Hip Hop) Due Date: TBA
One of raps biggest talents set the bar with his DC4 release late last year. Now single and surviving the infamous "Back To Back" onslaught Meek Mill looks to return to the rap thrown this year with a slew of releases lined up.

14. Travis Scott: "Astroworld" (Hip Hop) Due Date: TBA
Travis Scotts been teasing his up coming "Astroworld" Project all last year, and after the release of the now platinum "Bird In The Trap Sing Mcknight" it has a lot to live up to.

13. Motionless In White: "Graveyard Shift" (Metal/Hard Rock)
New label, New single and even slight line up change Motionless In White has a lot in store for this year. After Returning to there Metalcore sound in "570" Fans such as myself couldn't be more excited for "Graveyard Shift."

12. Asking Alexandria: TBA (Hard Rock/Metal) Due Date: TBA
Asking  Alexandria Sent the rock world into a frenzy last year after they reunited with the bands original lead vocalist Danny Worsnop. Danny and Bruce are already hard at work in the studio and have stated "We are working on biggest songs of the past decade" one could only imagine what's cookin in the studio.

11. Kehlani: "SweetSexySavage" (R&B) Due Date: January 27th
R&B's Savior and brightest new talent Khelani looks to deliver one of the years biggest records.

10.Major Lazer "Music Is The Weapon" (EDM) Due Date: TBA
Major Lazer set the bar high with one of last years biggest hits "Cold Water" featuring Justin Bieber. The highly anticipated new record also features Iggy Azelia, Sia and Nicki Minaj.

9. Lil Uzi Vert - TBA (Hip Hip) Due Date: TBA
Lil Uzi Vert has dominated the mixtape circuit over the past year, producing some of the years biggest hits. Though there isn't any details on an album as of yet, one could only imagine there's one in the works as the Philly rapper continues to tease new music.

8.Dave East - TBA (Hip Hop) Due Date: TBA
The 28 year old Nas protégé is most talented new rapper in recent years, with fierce punchlines and brilliant word play. He announced on Angie Martinez they his debut project will be arriving at some point this year and that it would be one for the ages.

7.Falling In Reverse - TBA (Rock) - Due Date: TBA
Falling In Reverse is quickly becoming one of the biggest bands in the scene, continuing to release innovative material there competition wouldn't dare try. Last year after lead guitarist Jacky Vincent left the band, Ronnie Radke announced the band would be taking another left run musically. This really shows on the bands new breakout anthem "Coming Home."

6. Nas -TBA - (Hip Hop) - Due Date: TBA
The Queens legend stole the show on Dj Khaled's "Major Key" album with the song "Nas Album Done." Which could only mean we will be getting a new project from the legendary mc at some this year.

5.Chance The Rapper -TBA (Hip Hop)- TBA
The Chicago rapper put out one of the best Hip Hop projects in recent years with "Coloring Book." The bar is set extremely high for the young Mc as he looks to delivery his debut album at some point this year.

4. Kendrick Lamar - TBA (Hip Hop) TBA
Kendrick Lamar is one of most talented artist of our generation, and he sets the bar higher with each release. TDE owner shocked fans when he stated that a new Kendrick Lamar Project will most likely be dropping this year.

3.Paramore - TBA - (Rock/Pop)  Due Date - TBA
After reuniting with drummer Zac Farro and the success of there self titled release. The anticipation for there new record couldn't be any higher.

2. Kanye West - "Turbo Grafx 16" (Hip Hop) Due Date - TBA
Kanye west had a wild ride in 2016 releasing one his best records with "The Life Of Pablo" to a bizarre spiral downhill. "Turbo Grafx 16" was teased around the time he was working on "The Life Of Pablo and even more so recently, which means it should be coming at this point this year.

1. Eminem - TBA (Hip Hop) Due Date: TBA
2016 was an extremely quite year for the Detroit rapper, who released little to no material. However he has been spotted in the studio looking hard on work on what appears to be a new project. Although there isn't a release date or any singles as yet, any time the G.O.A.T is expected to drop an album its automatically at the top the list.
